Yard loads and collected loads start differently, then follow the same assessment, onsite weighing, separation, responsible processing, and payment stages.

Arrange collection or arrive at the yard
A collection starts with agreed load and access details. A yard visit starts when you bring the material to the fixed site during opening hours.
Present and assess the material
The material is checked by type and condition. Mixed, attached, contaminated, or damaged items may need closer assessment before the load moves on.
Weigh the material onsite
The material is weighed onsite as part of the handling process. Collected material enters the same weighing stage as material brought to the yard.
Unload and separate it
The material is unloaded and separated into appropriate streams where applicable. This keeps different metals and car batteries from being treated as one mixed category.
Process it responsibly
Separated material is processed responsibly for recycling. The work continues after the customer handover; completing a collection is not the end of the recycling process.
Complete payment
Once material is processed, Pinnacle Metals makes payment the same day.
